ShonyLabs Analytics launches
ShonyLabs Analytics is live: self-hosted, privacy-friendly web analytics with a one-line tracking snippet, custom goals, funnels, and visitor journeys.
Why we built this
Most analytics platforms make you choose between owning your data and getting a modern dashboard. ShonyLabs Analytics is our attempt at both: a self-hosted, multi-tenant platform you can register on directly, track any number of websites from, and never have to hand your visitors' data to a third party you don't control.
What's included from day one
Add a website and you get a unique site ID and a single <script> tag — no build step, no SDK to wire up, works on any stack. Pageviews, sessions, referrers, and UTM parameters are captured automatically the moment the snippet loads.
Every site gets its own dashboard: visitor breakdowns by source, country, device, and browser; custom goal and revenue tracking via a simple window.shonylabs() call; funnels to see where visitors drop off across a multi-step flow; and a visitor journey view to follow a single person's path through your site.
Because not all traffic runs a browser, we also shipped server-side and bot/crawler tracking from day one, so requests from crawlers, webhooks, and other non-JS clients show up in the same dashboard instead of a permanent blind spot.
